Muttahida Qaumi Movement(MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Tuesday announced once again that he was stepping down from the post of party chairman over the remarks made by Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif regarding 'Mohajirs'. According to a statement on the MQM website, Asif said in the National Asssembly and on a television channel that, "Only people coming from Ludhiana and Jalandhar were genuine Mohajirs.All the rest are fake Mohajirs."
Talking to Geo news on Tuesday morning, Altaf lashed out at the National Assembly claiming that the 'Mohajir community had been mocked and enough was enough.'

LHC to take up Ayyan's bail plea today

LAHORE: Justice Maqbool Bajwa of the LHC will take up on Thursday(today) a fresh bail petition field by fashion model Ayyan Ali facing charges of money laundering. Originally the petition was field at the Rawalpindi bench through Khosa Law Chambers of former governer Sardar Lafit Khosa. The petition was referred to registrar office at the principal seat here. The chief justice marked the petition to Justice Bajwa. Justice Bajwa had heard an earlier bail petition of Ayyan at the Rawalpindi bench and dismissed it upholding the decision of a special customs court.
